“That’s beyond unsettling. I had a discussion with my brother, who’s currently training in the police academy, about weapons that law enforcement/the military uses. Do you want to know what police departments who even have these bullets use them for? Immobilizing vehicles and shooting…
but I think that it’s important that we at least care. I live in the United States, and these events have made me feel both blessed to be living where I am today and terrified for the Libyans (and the other countries in the Middle East concurrently undergoing war). The people on Tumblr that tell others to “stop caring, you’re not even Libyan” really disappoint me. We live on the same Earth, we are all human beings. These are our brothers and sisters, and we have the resources and the money to help them, so why don’t we? If something like this happened in the United States, wouldn’t we want the world to help us? I can’t imagine what the Libyans must feel like right now, but I sure as hell hope that they know they’re not alone in this fight. We, including me, need to change our indifferent attitudes, get off our high horse, and show the world that we care.
followers, again, here’s just why i think everyone should care. please take the time to read this.
95% of people on my Tumblr won't read this, but as we speak, Libyan people are being massacred, because they're rebelling against an unfair government. The elderly, women, children, everyone in Libya is in danger tonight. It's genocide. Reblog this to raise awareness and support the revolution.
it’s a friday night, and I’m eating oreos and drinking milk, and life is good.
except for the fact that my dog just farted when I submitted to her growling, let her sit on my lap, and lovingly rubbed her belly.
anyway, today I went to eat AYCE sushi @ sushi asahi in riverside. it was so bombb. if you ever have an open day, grab a couple of friends and head on up to this joint and you will definitely be satisfied with all you can eat sushi for only $22 a person. ($17 for lunch!) haha, I should be on yelp.
I’m enjoying the rain. it gives me an excuse to stay in, drink hot chocolate, snack away, and just relax. I feel like I haven’t had a second to breathe — once I finish one task, another daunting task is waiting for me. just when I thought this quarter was flying by, the end seems to be moving further and further out of my reach.
oh my gosh. you know that one feeling where you feel a sneeze coming, and you get all prepared with your eyes closed and your nose scrunched up and then — disappointingly, the feeling fades away? that has literally happened about 20 times in the past two days. I want to die. sneezing is one of the most satisfying feelings for me. and my body is just teasing me over and over again. I’m willing to throw pepper in my nose just so I can get this sneeze out of my system.
I will be posting some pictures of mine from the beautiful botanical gardens at the huntington library soon. and a couple pictures from my dorm. enjoy! as much as I did.
j’espère que votre semaine était tout ce que vous souhaitiez pour. à bientot.
